Snow Day

Pretty much everyday here in W town is a snow day. I just wanted to show my friends and family how much snow is in our yard!
I keep telling everyone that its crazy and I think we will be on flood alert if and when it starts melting!!

Yes - that is a Christmas wreath on my door - I have taken all the other Christmas decorations down - but I always go in the back door and keep forgetting that I am sporting Christmas spirit into mid January in the front. Christmas in the front - January in the back!
I wonder what I will do with all the hours of my life I will get back when we break down and buy a snow blower!!
I bet I could write a novel!

Mythical creature!

I hate being in pictures these days, so I never put myself up on my blog, but I wanted to share my new hair color. Here is proof that I am in fact still alive and not a mythical creature out in the blogging world!
I tried to take some pictures myself and then I enlisted Vance to help. They both turned out weird! But here they are. It feels like my hair has always been this color.
Vance has really been into photography lately. Here are some shots he wanted me to take of him and then he took some of Porter.
Happy Wednesday!
(Vance thinks he looks like Harry Potter in these glasses.......they are safety glasses Adam had around the house;0)

And so it begins....

......2011! It came so quickly! I feel like I just got use to writing 2010 on my checks! Now I have to start all over!! And YES I still write checks!!! In the ND half the businesses don't take debit cards and I kinda like it! Anyway - I thought I would start out the new year with a baby comparison!

My brother-in-law so kindly sent over some pictures from our old computer of Vance when he was a baby. I think it's funny to see pictures of him and Porter side by side. Sometimes we have to really look close to know which one it is. In these pictures you can tell a difference really well. Vance is the top and Porter's pictures are the two following. The light isn't great in the pictures of Porter but his eyes are blue right now as well. Vance's have turned green.

And now onto the holidays. We had Christmas at our house. It was really great to have our own little family Christmas with the boys. I cooked a big dinner on Christmas Eve. Here are the boys waiting to feast!
Santa called on Christmas eve and talked to Vance. He told him all about his unruly reindeer and how he would come to our house after he hit up Canada. It was really funny and Vance was beside himself the whole time. Here is Adam's happy face! Vance really got into Christmas this year....especially into Porter's little camera. He wouldn't let me take a picture unless he was taking a picture of me taking a picture of him.
And just like any baby...Porter just wanted to crawl around and eat all the wrapping paper! He was excited as a baby can be!

The day after Christmas we made a mad dash to Wyoming for a couple of days. It was really fun to see our family and friends. I will post some of those pictures soon. All I wanted for Christmas was reddish hair.....stay tuned!
